My little Teddy’s 8th birthday was yesterday! He is such a sweet boy and I love him so much! I adopted Teddy from the Atlanta Humane Society back in October of 2009 when he was just 4 weeks old. I was in college and wanted to foster his sister but besides her he was the only one of the litter left and got talked into fostering both. I felt so guilty leaving him all alone in his cage so I committed to helping both of the little cuties. At first I wanted to adopt his sister but Teddy grew on me and we were perfect together! I couldn’t live without him and ended up adopting the little guy.
Teddy has always been there with me and we have gone through a lot together. He’s such a funny little guy and cracks me up! We are basically two peas in a pod. Teddy’s idea of fun is laying on the couch and being anti social- I love laying on the couch and not socializing hehe. I always joke around that Teddy was a cat in another life. He loves standing on the arm of the couch and playing with a small ball for 5 minutes of the day and he’s done. He always freaks out with strangers and he prefers to come up to you at his own time. He’s super territorial but at the dog park he’s a totally different dog, super friendly and with a big smile.
Logan and I took Teddy to his favorite spot in Atlanta- Piedmont Park- to celebrate his birthday! This place is also very special to us because that’s where we got engaged. We had a little picnic and brought him some treats to enjoy. The weather was beautiful and we had such a great time without any distractions.
If you’re thinking of getting a furry little one to join your family, I strongly recommend you check out the animal shelters in your local area. There are SO many animals looking for a home and TONS of options to pick from to give you unconditional love.
Happy birthday Teddy!!!!!!!!!
Thanks Steph!!!
