On Saturday, Logan and I headed up to North Georgia with our friends Ryan and Kaitlin. We had always wanted to check out the wineries up there so we were so happy they invited us! There are so many wineries to choose from but we decided to check out the Wolf Mountain Vineyards.
The weather was 75 and perfect! We honestly couldn’t have asked for a better day to be up in North Georgia. The vineyard is about an hour outside of Atlanta and a super easy drive. Especially when you’re chatting with your friends the whole ride down and listening to some rap.
Kaitlin made reservations for us at the cafe and we sat outside and enjoyed the beautiful views! I highly recommend making a reservation beforehand otherwise you might not even get to eat there. We saw them turn down a lot of people because they were full for the rest of the day. The menu was made up of sandwiches, meat and cheese trays and flatbread pizza. We enjoyed some food and wines before heading downstairs to their tasting room.
The tasting room was both indoors and outdoors. We paid $16 per person to get to try 6 different wines. It included 2 sparkling, 2 whites and 2 reds. You can also pay $20 to get the tasting plus you get to keep the glass. They also have a little wine shop inside but we didn’t buy anything since their wines were a little overpriced. The bottle of red that we liked was $35 but at Total Wine it’s $21. They definitely mark them up a lot. I would honestly prefer some Decoy or Veuve at that price point.
It was such a fun day and glad we were able to do something different. I can’t say it enough that the weather was PERFECT!
