Our maternity photos are here!!! I honestly wasn’t sure if I wanted to take any since I’ve been feeling so blah about myself. I knew that if I took any photos I just wanted to do something simple and stay away from those white fitted lace dresses because that’s just not me! I decided last minute that I should do a mini photoshoot with Morgan, since it’s my first pregnancy and I’d want to look back on this moment. I’ve been shooting with Morgan for over a year and she’s shot Logan and I a couple of times so I knew I would feel comfortable with her.
I don’t know if you can tell or not but the day we shot was AWFUL! We had to reschedule the first time because it was pouring rain and then the day we shot it was 30 degrees and SO WINDY! My hair and dress was flying everywhere and I could not feel my body it was SO COLD! We took photos quickly and I was so happy with the results! Read below for our outfit details.
We chose to take our photos in Midtown Atlanta right next to the Fox Theater. The Fox is so iconic to the city and we go there every year to watch the Nutcracker during Christmas time. We also went across the street to the Georgian Terrace to snap more photos.
THE OUTFITS
Now let’s get to the important part, our outfits. We were so excited to have Peter Millar and Pink Blush send over our beautiful outfits for this shoot!
Logan’s look (shirt and blazer) is from the Peter Millar Spring 2019 collection and it’s a sneak peek since it’s not out until next month! His pants are actually available for purchase and they’re currently on sale! The Italian cotton silk is super soft and flattering! I definitely think this is the perfect outfit for Easter! His top is the Coastal Check Sport Shirt and the jacket is the Excursionist Flex Blazer. If you live in Atlanta, make sure to check out the Peter Millar store located at the Avalon in Alpharetta.
My look was provided by PinkBlush, which has been my go to during this pregnancy. PinkBlush has regular women’s clothing as well as maternity clothing and are all so cute and great quality! I also love that they have formal maternity dress options and there are so many to choose from! My baby shower dress is actually from PinkBlush as well and I cannot wait to wear it this weekend. For these photos, I am wearing the Gold Shimmer Off the Shoulder dress in a size small. I just love how it all came together.
A special shoutout to my friend Lizzie that did my makeup and Morgan Hayes for the beautiful photos that we will treasure!
Keep sharing, stay motivated
