My long awaited baby shower finally happened over the weekend! I was really looking forward to this for many reasons- for one, so many people RSVP’d so I was so excited to see all my friends; two, I knew how much work my mom put into planning the shower so I was really looking forward to seeing it all come together and lastly because it means I’m getting much closer to meeting our little one!
The shower was hosted at my uncle’s restaurant, Frankie’s Steakhouse and we had 36 people attend! We all enjoyed a DELICIOUS brunch, played some games with AMAZING prizes and got to open all the gifts everyone got me! I really wanted it to be focused around enjoying everyone’s company and less attention on me since I hate being in the spotlight. I also didn’t want to play the cheesy baby shower games but I found some fun ones and tried to customize them to make them more enjoyable. We played Who Knows Mommy Best, Find the Guest and What’s in Your Purse. I bought these on Etsy and I liked the fact that it was multiple games and you could edit them. My mom killed it with the prizes! They included a slip silk eye mask, Sephora gift card, candle and two bags. We all had a wonderful time and it was exactly what I wanted! I also got so many amazing gifts from my registry, and I can’t wait to give you guys a review on all the items.
I wanted to share with y’all some of the decor as well as my outfit details from the shower. There really wasn’t a theme, I just wanted to keep it classy in all white with some hints of baby blues! There were also little accents of woodland creatures (since that’s our nursery theme) in the cookies, invites, and games. Now that the shower is over, it’s time for the baby countdown to kick off in full force! On to week number 36 🙂
Cookies: Santini Mini Sweets
Cake: done by a family friend, vanilla inside with strawberries- so yummy!
Favors: done by my mom, it was blue macaroon trinket holders
Flowers: done by my mom
Wooden Sign: Studio Noel
Dress: PinkBlush Maternity, wearing a size small
Pro Tip: Buy these maternity Spanx shapers for a smooth look and to pair with fitted clothes. It’s tricky wearing white since most of the time clothes are see through, so the Spanx were a life saver!
Thank you to everyone that came and made my day so special! Sharing some shots below with some of my friends/family that attended.
